The "Event Horizon" Hypothesis: Is Gojo's "Hollow Purple" Actually Creating a Micro-Singularity?
In the hyper-detailed power-scaling and lore-analysis communities on NGA and Tieba, discussions surrounding Satoru Gojo's ultimate technique, "Hollow Purple," have moved far beyond simple "it erases matter" explanations. A fascinating, physics-heavy fan theory has emerged that attempts to explain the technique through the lens of real-world theoretical astrophysics.
The theory posits that by combining Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue (attraction) and Cursed Technique Reversal: Red (repulsion), Gojo is not just creating "imaginary mass." Instead, he is generating a localized, temporary collapse of space-time—essentially creating a micro-singularity or a microscopic black hole. This explains why "Hollow Purple" bypasses all conventional physical and cursed energy defenses; it doesn't just destroy the target, it temporarily deletes the spatial coordinates the target occupies, pulling the surrounding environment into the resulting "event horizon" before the space snaps back into place.
anime fans, who frequently blend hardcore scientific concepts with fictional power systems (a practice often dubbed "hardcore power scaling"), have enthusiastically embraced this interpretation. It perfectly justifies why the technique is so visually distinct, why it leaves a massive, clean trail of destruction, and why it is so incredibly taxing on Gojo's brain to calculate and execute. It transforms a cool anime super-move into a terrifying manipulation of cosmic physics.
