Valorant: A Must-Read for Ranked Climbing - Jett's Movement and Knife Techniques Explained

Since its release in the Chinese server of Valorant, the Duelist "Jett" has consistently been one of the most popular operators in ranked matches due to her exceptional mobility and high skill ceiling. However, many players in the Silver to Diamond ranks often treat Jett merely as a "fast runner," completely wasting her movement potential.

First, let's look at the basic movement technique – the "Drift Jump." By activating "Take the Wind" (E ability, dash), simultaneously holding down the jump button and adjusting the camera direction, Jett can perform an arc-shaped movement in mid-air. The core application of this technique is "baiting into the bomb site": when the attacking team is advancing, use the Drift Jump to quickly slide into the bomb site, forcing the defenders to reveal their firing positions, and then immediately use "Take the Wind" (C ability, smoke) to block their vision, creating a safe entry route for teammates.

Secondly, let's discuss advanced techniques for "knife attacks" (Operator + Jett). Jetwind's "Wind Rush" dash can be used while aiming down sights, meaning you can suddenly dash to another angle while sniping, catching your opponent off guard. The specific operation: Holding the "Operator," aim down sights from behind cover. The moment the enemy peeks out, simultaneously press the dash and fire buttons. Because Jetwind's movement speed is extremely fast during the dash, the enemy can hardly track you, while you can fire before the dash ends.

The use of the ultimate ability, "Hurricane Blade" (X skill), also requires strategy. The five throwing knives will respawn after a kill, so don't rush to throw them all at once when facing multiple enemies. The correct approach is: throw one knife to kill the first target, adjust the angle after it respawns, and throw the second knife, repeating this cycle. When the defending team rotates back, standing on high ground and activating the ultimate ability, using the throwing knives' wall-penetrating properties to clear enemies in corners, is Jetwind's most dominant moment.
