Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia is very nice anime

Tenmaku no Jaadugar (Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia) feels very good as an anime because its opening episodes are strongly directed and visually distinctive, using Science SARU's style and translating the manga's art into backgrounds and character designs that feel richly "lived-in." It's also engaging in what it chooses to focus on—knowledge, character relationships, and the historical stakes—so even when the tone turns harsh, it still feels purposeful rather than random. At the same time, the subject matter can be emotionally heavy, so it's best appreciated if you're okay with a story that's beautiful but also uncomfortable.
