Are subscription services becoming too expensive?

I think subscription services are gradually reaching the point where consumers have to become much more selective. Individually, a monthly subscription might look inexpensive, but the problem becomes obvious when someone subscribes to several entertainment services simultaneously. One service might provide movies, another might have a particular anime, another might have sports, another might have exclusive television series, and another might offer games or music. Suddenly, what originally looked like a cheap alternative to traditional television can become a significant monthly expense. What makes this especially frustrating is that consumers do not necessarily get everything they want from one service anymore. The fragmentation of content means people can end up paying several companies simply to follow the shows, games, sports, or movies they personally care about. I don't think subscriptions themselves are a bad idea, because they can still offer tremendous value compared with buying every piece of content individually. My concern is the psychological effect of having so many recurring payments. A person can easily forget about a subscription they rarely use because the payment happens automatically every month. I also think consumers are increasingly asking a reasonable question: "How much am I actually using this?" If someone watches one or two shows on a service every month, paying continuously may not make sense. Personally, I like the idea of rotating subscriptions rather than keeping everything permanently active. Subscribe to one service for a month or two, watch the content you really want, cancel it, and move to another when something interesting appears. That approach makes streaming feel more like a tool that you control instead of a collection of permanent bills. At the same time, I think companies need to recognize that continually increasing prices can eventually encourage people to unsubscribe rather than simply accept another increase. There is a limit to how many monthly payments an average entertainment consumer is willing to maintain.
