The Geometry of the Soul in Jujutsu Kaisen

How does a 'Simple Domain' (like Kasumi Miwa's) or 'Hollow Wicker Basket' actually neutralize a Domain Expansion's 'guaranteed hit' mechanic? Is it just a weaker shield, or is there a specific jujutsu geometry at play?

On forums like NGA and Baidu Tieba, the barrier mechanics of Jujutsu Kaisen are analyzed with the rigor of computer programming. To understand how a Simple Domain works, you have to stop thinking of it as a "shield" and start thinking of it as a counter-script.

When a sorcerer casts a Domain Expansion, they are painting their "Innate Domain" (the landscape of their soul) onto physical reality, creating a closed, spherical barrier. Inside this sphere, the user is the omnipotent admin, and the "guaranteed hit" isn't a fast physical attack—it is a fundamental rule of the space. It's the jujutsu equivalent of pressing "Ctrl+A" (Select All) and "Delete."

A Simple Domain does not block the attack. Instead, it deploys a micro-barrier (usually 2 to 3 meters in radius) that paints a counter-rule onto the user's immediate vicinity. It creates a "neutral zone" that nullifies the target assignment of the guaranteed hit. It's like putting a piece of masking tape over a security camera's lens; the camera is still recording, but it can no longer assign a target.

The reason every sorcerer doesn't just learn this to survive is because of the immense processing power required. Casting a Simple Domain while trapped inside an enemy's fully realized Domain requires the sorcerer to maintain a stable, localized barrier while being crushed by the spiritual pressure of an entirely different reality. It is the jujutsu equivalent of coding a firewall from scratch while the server room is actively on fire.
